INTERVIEW:

What was your inspiration for The Player?

I didn’t have an inspiration per se… but I’ve always followed baseball (and played softball in college) and I wanted to write a sports romance story that had a lot of depth to it… and so I wrote the one sport I really know, baseball.

Which Hollywood actor would you envisage as The Player?

You know, I don’t really picture characters as real people when I write. Most of the time the character is in my head and I see him there. I rarely see an actor or an athlete in this case and think “That’s Easton!” So as for a movie star, I’d rather not answer that and let the readers pick who they would like him to be in their own minds.

What’s your favourite sport?

I’d have to say baseball. 🙂
