Mr Monday is the intriguing introduction to Shana Gray’s revenge driven Working Girl series. We are introduced to Tess Canyon, a young woman propelled by her need to exonerate her late father’s name, as well as bring down the company that caused his demise.
Tess’ plan is simple: Infiltrate Diamond Enterprises by securing the position of Executive Assistant. Her reinvention and planning have all boiled down to this moment. Although what she could not have planned for, was an interview process that changes the game completely.
Tess quickly learns the process is in fact a ploy to recruit the company’s next CEO. With higher stakes to play for now, it’s all or nothing and Tess does not intend to fold. The addition of angst to the story is injected by what seems to be the mutual attraction between Tess and the mysterious interviewer.
With a new game in play, Tess must spend the next Seven days completing tasks that proves her skill and suitability for the role. Seven days, Seven interviewers. As the series continues no doubt too will the mystery, and it remains to be seen which will be my new favourite day of the week.
