From New York Times and #1 International bestselling author J. Kenner, the first in an all new series of fast-paced, provocative novels centering around the ambitious, wealthy, and powerful men who work in the glamorous and exciting world of the Stark International conglomerate … and the sexy and passionate women who bring them to their knees.

On the outside, Lyle Tarpin is a clean-cut Hollywood actor whose star is on the rise. Inside, he’s battling his own demons, shunning relationships and finding solace in the arms of a string of anonymous women paid very well for their discretion.

But when he’s photographed in a compromising position by an over-eager reporter, the only way to save his career is to say that the woman he was with is his fiancée. And now Lyle has to play a very public game with the only woman who’s ever managed to get under his skin.

Struggling waitress Sugar Laine agrees to spend one night with Lyle—but only because she’s desperate to save her family home. She never expects that a night of passion will turn into a pretend engagement … or that the heat between them will blossom into love.

But sometimes love has a price.

And now the only question is—can Lyle and Sugar afford to pay it?

★ 4 STARS★

Wicked Dirty is the latest novel in J. Kenner’s Stark World series. It’s a world that titillates with the pleasures of the forbidden and revels in the decadence of excess. The synopsis promises the illicit and intrigue, and Kenner certainly delivers on both accounts.

Driven by desperation Sugar Laine agrees to one night with a stranger for much needed sum of ten thousand dollars. She can’t afford to lose her childhood home to foreclosure, and with it the last connection to the family she has lost. She works endlessly and tirelessly, but with the clock ticking closer to the deadline; her decision made in haste would bring repercussions she could never have foreseen.

Rising star Lyle Tarpin is the epitome of Hollywood’s Golden Boy. He’s handsome and wholesome and has a huge career ahead of him. Inside however he’s tarnished by guilt and seeks discreet liaisons as a means to keep him from forming meaningful attachments. He expects his encounter with Laine to go by way of the rest, but when photos of their surface in the press, he’s forced fake a relationship with Laine in order to preserve his image.

There’s a stark romanticism in the vein of Pretty Woman to their encounter and with what follows. Rather than shedding their clothes, it’s their insecurities, and soon the charade of a relationship becomes one. Given the nature of how their relationship started I was pleasantly surprised by the build up to the physical aspect of it. I felt it made it feel more genuine and I had a greater respect for how they would fit into one another’s lives.

I’ve long been addicted to J. Kenner’s sophisticated and sensual style of writing. She seduces readers with her stories until they have no choice but to fall in love with her characters.

PLAY ON by Samantha Young

Release Date: 12th September 2017

Nora O’Brien chased a dream from Indiana to Scotland, so sure it was the right thing to do. Three years later she was left in her adopted country with nothing to her name but guilt and regret.

Until Aidan Lennox entered her life.

Older, worldlier, a music producer and composer, the sexy Scot should never have made sense for Nora. But somehow in each other they found the light they were looking for, the laughter and the passion—the strength to play on despite their past losses.

But when life dealt Aidan another unlucky hand, instead of reaching for her he disappeared. The agonizing loss of him inspired something within Nora. It fired her spirit— the anger and hurt pushing her forward to take control and reach for her dreams.

Finally pursuing a career on stage while she put herself through college, everything is how Nora wants it. She’s avoiding heartbreak and concentrating on her goals.
Sounds easy but it’s not. Because Aidan is back. And for some reason he hates Nora.

He’s determined to be at war with her.

And she has absolutely no idea why.

Despite Seonaid’s warning that I couldn’t keep my feelings bottled up, I tried very hard to convince myself that I was okay with how things had played out with Aidan. That I needed to be okay so I could go on living my life in perfect contentment. While he gallivanted around the theater with his beautiful women and horse-assery.

Finding my Zen, however, was proving more difficult than I’d thought. I was a bundle of confused feelings. At war with myself.

So it wasn’t any wonder I reacted the exact opposite of how I’d hoped when Aidan finally confronted me in private.

Having to meet up with another student to work on an assignment we had for a tutorial, I hadn’t seen any point in heading home to Sighthill only to have to return to Tollcross for rehearsal. I’d grabbed a salad from a shop on Potterrow, and walked to the theater. I was ninety minutes early so no one was there. Thankfully, Quentin was usually at the theater during the day so the doors were open. When I got inside the auditorium, however, it was pitch black.

“Quentin?” I called out. “Are you here?”

My voice echoed.

Nothing.

“Anyone?”

But the silence told me I was alone. I wondered if Quentin had accidentally left the theater unlocked. I’d need to let him know.

Switching on the stage lights to make me not feel like I was about to become part of a horror movie, I found my way into an empty dressing room.

Eating my salad, I worked on a paper, waiting for the minutes to tick by.

A noise far off in the distance made me still like a rabbit caught in headlights. I cocked my head, listening, and sure enough, footsteps approached. Blood rushed in my ears as my pulse raced. I then cursed myself for being freaked out when it was obviously a cast member who was—I glanced at my watch—an hour early.

I waited, and the dressing room door I had left slightly ajar squeaked open.

My breath caught at the sight of Aidan filling the doorway.

He crossed his arms and his ankles and leaned against the jamb, staring at me dispassionately.

All I could do was stare back, my emotions whirling in a mess of feelings, like a tornado, with no thought to what it was sucking up into its wind funnel. “What are you doing here?” I finally said, my voice hoarse.

“I was sitting in the coffee shop across the way and I saw you come in.”

“You followed me?”

“I argued with myself about it for a while. But aye.”

Adrenaline coursed through me and made my hands shake. I curled them into fists and hoped I looked back at him with as much boredom as he was bestowing upon me. “Why?”

“Curiosity.” He shrugged.

“Curiosity?”

“Were you always such a heartless robot and I was just too fucking blind to see it?”

I flinched, knowing this was the moment I should tell him that Laine had lied to me. But I couldn’t get the words out. I wanted to and I didn’t want to.

So fear of him hating me and fear of him loving me left me in some kind of exasperated, frustrated no-man’s land. I shot to my feet. “If you came here to use me as your emotional punching bag, you can leave,” I hissed.

His eyes flashed and he pushed off the jamb, coming into the room. For the first time, I hated that I had to tip my head back to look up at him. “Not before I tell you what I really think of you, Nora, instead of hiding it behind the subterfuge of giving a fuck what happens with this play.”

“Aidan—”

“You are the biggest coward I’ve ever met in my life. You’re weak and emotionally defunct. What’s worse is how fucking manipulative you are—”

“Aidan—”

“I’ve never met anyone who had me so fucking fooled!” His chest heaved as his cool fled in the wake of his rage. “You lied and strung me along, fled when the going got tough, not once but goddamn twice, and I’m the idiot who let you do that to me.”

“Aidan—”

“But rest assured, Nora, you are the last woman who is ever going to make a fool out of me. I see you now. Who you really are. A fucked-up, selfish, self-involved, immature little—”

Whatever horrible thing he was going to call me next, I swallowed it in my kiss. Unable to bear his contempt any longer, but not knowing how to make it stop, I went with my gut.

And my gut told him to grab his T-shirt in my fists and use it to haul him down to my mouth.

What a mistake.

Because I remembered him now.

I remembered how beautiful he felt.

So when his hands gripped my forearms and tried to pry me off, I let him, only to slide my arms around his neck and cling on tighter, kissing him in desperation.

He grunted and grabbed my arms again and just as I feared he would shove me away, he broke. Aidan jerked me closer, his mouth opening under mine, his tongue searching for my tongue.

Quite abruptly, he was in charge.

If I ever deemed to make a list of favourite authors and reads, there’s no doubt Samantha Young and On Dublin Street would be on it. I remember naively thinking I would read a few chapters before bed, and then next realizing it was 4AM and wisely deciding stopping before I’d finished was not an option.

PLAY ON is a story that takes us back to Scotland, and back to the conflicted characters of Sam’s that I love so much. Nora O’Brien is an eighteen-year-old American girl who has lived the emotional heartache of someone twice her age. She’s left so much behind in Indiana, and is hopeful that her new life will bring her a sense of belonging and peace.

For those who “know” Nora, know that there’s a sense of unavailability to her. It’s a defense mechanism of hers and whether she accepts or not, it holds her back from forming meaningful relationships. It’s a defense she thinks has served her well until she meets a man who penetrates her amour and sets about an irrevocable chain reaction that forces her to confront the past she has run from.

So heartfelt in it’s telling PLAY ON is story of self-discovery and acceptance. As well as the story I enjoyed the imagery and pride that shone through when Samantha describes the backdrop of her story, Scotland. I’ve been lucky enough to visit and it’s every bit as beautiful as she describes.

Autoboyography by Christina Lauren

Genre: Young Adult, LGBT

Release Date: 12th September 2017

Fangirl meets Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda in this funny and poignant coming-of-age novel from New York Times bestselling author Christina Lauren about two boys who fall in love in a writing class—one from a progressive family and the other from a conservative religious community.

Three years ago, Tanner Scott’s family relocated from California to Utah, a move that nudged the bisexual teen temporarily back into the closet. Now, with one semester of high school to go, and no obstacles between him and out-of-state college freedom, Tanner plans to coast through his remaining classes and clear out of Utah.

But when his best friend Autumn dares him to take Provo High’s prestigious Seminar—where honor roll students diligently toil to draft a book in a semester—Tanner can’t resist going against his better judgment and having a go, if only to prove to Autumn how silly the whole thing is. Writing a book in four months sounds simple. Four months is an eternity.

It turns out, Tanner is only partly right: four months is a long time. After all, it takes only one second for him to notice Sebastian Brother, the Mormon prodigy who sold his own Seminar novel the year before and who now mentors the class. And it takes less than a month for Tanner to fall completely in love with him.

★4 STARS

I was much too curious about the blurb to Autoboyography to pass up the opportunity to read it. Admittedly there were aspects to it that made me nervous as to what kind of read it would be. But in all honesty after reading the first page I was instantly reassured by the style and tone of the writing.

High School can be an awkward time for most of us, and in theory none more so than for Tanner Scott. He’s an agonist, bisexual boy living in a highly conservative religious community. His family are incredibly supportive, but even as progressive as they are; they understand the importance of Tanner keeping his sexuality hidden.

Although not currently able to live the open life he has in the past, it hasn’t held Tanner back from making the most of his High School experience in Utah. He has friends, he has a social life, and best of all a personality I couldn’t help but fall in love with. Bullied Coerced by his best friend to take part his school’s prestigious writing Seminar is not how he hoped to spend his last semester, but he’s never been one to turn down a dare.

Tanner is fully prepared to coast the course, but once he sets his eyes on class alumni and mentor Sebastian Brother, his whole world is about to be shaken up.

I can’t tell you the range of emotions I went through reading this novel. It was brilliantly awkward at times to the point of laughing out loud, but there was also the angst that felt heightened due its star crossed nature. It’s a coming of age story that focuses on self-acceptance and tolerance, but most importantly it’s a sweet story of first love.

TEMPORARY by Sarina Bowen & Sarah Mayberry

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: 11th September  2017

The most beautiful man I’ve ever seen is the one who can ruin everything…

The first time I lay eyes on Callan Walker, I know he’ll be trouble. With his smug grin, hot Aussie accent and thousand dollar shoes, he’s just the kind of rich guy who always gets what he wants.

And he wants two things: a night of sin, and my cooperation as he outmaneuvers his powerful mother to take control of his uncle’s estate.

I can’t afford either one. I’m the only thing standing between my little sister and the foster care system. He may have money and charm on his side, but I have something even more powerful — pure desperation. This temp job at his mother’s company can become a full time job for me. It has to.

But when Callan’s eyes rake over my body, sometimes I forget my obligations. His piercing gaze finds the fun, optimistic girl I used to be and not the tired person I’ve become.

And it works–if only for a moment. Our night together was a mistake. I can’t afford to get sucked into his high-powered family’s treachery. But the closer I get to Callan, the more layers I find beneath those expensive clothes. Though I can’t forget this is temporary. He’s temporary. I have too much to lose.

★4 STARS★

There’s a new writing duo in Town and they come bearing the gift that is Australia’s hottest export, Callan Walker.

A man like Callan is just the kind of distraction Grace needs, but one she simply can’t afford. She’s desperate to find a stable permanent job in order to support herself and her fifteen year old sister, so when the opportunity arises to do just that, she won’t allow the walking temptation that is Callan Walker to stand in her way.

Grace Kerrington stands in the way of Callan being able to fulfil his beloved late uncle’s last wishes. More content to spend his time Island hopping, Callan has no desire to take his place in the family’s multi-million dollar business. It’s been a bone of contention between himself and his mother and their relationship flits between frosty to non-existent. By default any one employed by his mother is on the side of the enemy, but in order find the information he requires, he needs to temporarily play nice with Grace.

Forced to work together, they have no choice but to come to an uneasy truce. An unease that is made greater by the ungodly amount of attraction they for have one another. As Callan Playboy façade begins to slip, so too do Grace’s career prospects.

I really enjoyed peeling back the layers and getting down under with Callan. There’s a vulnerable boyish charm to him, and seeing that side to him was wholly endearing. Whilst Grace’s social predicament may have been a precarious one, I was instantly enamoured by how resolute she is in making sure she is able to provide for her sister.

I’m really looking forward to more from this duo. Whilst I’m well acquainted with the goodness that is Sarina Bowen, it’s always great to add a new author to the roster as I feel I have with Sarah Mayberry.

About Sarina Bowen

sarinakitchen

Sarina Bowen is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance. She lives in Vermont’s Green Mountains with her family, six chickens and too much ski gear and hockey equipment.

In 2016, Sarina became a Rita Award winner! The Romance Writers of America honored HIM by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy with Best Contemporary Romance, Mid-Length.

About Sarah Mayberry:

I grew up in Melbourne, Australia. I’ve pretty much always wanted to be a writer. In pre-school I was always rifling through the craft cupboard, looking for paper to take home and turn into “books”. And I’ve always loved reading. As a teenager, I perfected the art of walking home from school while reading at the same time. (Okay, occasionally I tripped.)

Sarah is revoltingly happy with her partner of twelve years, Chris, who is a talented scriptwriter. Not only does he offer fantastic advice and solutions to writing problems, but he’s also handsome, funny and sexy. When she’s not gushing over him, she loves to read romance and fantasy novels, go to the movies, sew and cook for her friends. She has also become a recent convert to Pilates, which she knows she should do more often.

Mila Zelenko was left crushed on what should have been the happiest day of her life. Abandoned and humiliated by the man she loved and trusted, she has since closed off her heart and concentrated her efforts in furthering her career.

Her tenacity is rewarded by the receiving a prestigious accolade, but what should be a fulfilling moment instead reopens the chasm of discontent between her personal and work life.

Andrew has been her friend and confidant and has supported her throughout her tough times. Just as the prospect of something romantic begins to grow, the ghost of her past reappears and with it feelings she thought she had long buried.

It was a far cry from the messy melodrama and drawn out angst I envisage when I think of a love triangle. I was enthralled by the thought that had obviously gone into this story, as well as the development of the plot and characters. I truly felt a myriad of emotions when reading but none more so than the joy of Mila’s happy ending.

For someone who was hesitant to pick up a love triangle, I absolutely could not put this down. The Edge of Us is a moving, contemplative read that delivers a powerful yet passionate display of emotion, conflict and tangible magnetism.

★NEW RELEASE & REVIEW★ COCKY CLIENT BY WHITNEY G.

Genres: Contemporary Romance

Cocky Client by Whitney G.

Series: (Steamy Coffee Collection #3)

Release Date: 13th July 2017

Today is officially the worst day of my life…

I woke up five hours late after a reckless one-night stand with the sexiest, cockiest, and most arrogant man I’ve ever met. (And this asshole actually left a note: “I think you were lying to me about being “experienced” last night. You orgasmed three times, and that was before we made it to your bedroom. I also find it hard to believe you “usually wear silk or lingerie.” Your drawers are all full of cotton granny panties–The best man you’ve ever fucked… )

My top two PR clients left me for my number one competitor, my roommate accidentally bleached my best suit, and my favorite coffee shop was shut down for “health concerns.”

Still, none of those things dimmed my excitement for what was supposed to be the best four o’clock signing session of my career. I was on the verge of signing the highest paying client in my company’s history, taking on a so-called “impossible” job that no publicist had been able to handle.

But at four o’clock, there was no athlete, television personality, or celebrity who showed up. Instead, that sexy, arrogant one-night stand stepped into my office with his familiar panty-wetting smirk and introduced himself as my new, cocky client…

Cocky & confident hero.

Obnoxiously hilarious banter.

Clever and feisty heroine.

Knee trembling steamy moments.

Your next indulgent read 😉

★ARC REVIEW★ AFTER ALL BY KARINA HALLE

Genres: Contemporary Romance

After All by Karina Halle

Release Date: 3rd July 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

After All is a STANDALONE lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance from the NYT and USA Today bestselling author of The Pact and Before I Ever Met You.

Emmett Hill is the perfect gentleman.

At least that’s what his PR team wants the world to think.

Tall, handsome, and wickedly charming, Emmett is in the midst of a career comeback, having landed the role of a villain in a popular TV show. The only problem is, Emmett has come a long way from the “nice guy” characters he used to play and his old squeaky clean image is quickly being tarnished by bar fights, womanizing and bad boy behaviour. Considering he’s two years shy of forty, it’s an act he needs to drop. And fast.

Enter Alyssa Martin.

At twenty-eight, Alyssa is tired and ready for a change. Her job as office manager has grown stagnant and unfulfilling, while she’s become continuously frustrated with Vancouver’s lackluster dating scene, always searching for Mr. Right in a city of Mr. Wrongs.

When Emmett and Alyssa’s paths cross at a mutual friend’s wedding, their chemistry is off-the-charts hot, culminating in a steamy one-night stand.

What neither expected was for the media catch wind of their coupling – and run with it.

Now Emmett has to convince Alyssa to date him for the sake of his image. Her curvy, cute and “normal” persona is just the ticket to smoothing out his reputation, while Emmett provides Alyssa with the excitement and change her life has been lacking.

The only problem is, the two fight like cats and dogs outside of the bedroom.

And considering their arrangement is just for show, they shouldn’t be in the bedroom with each other anyway.

Right?

Try telling them that.

★4.5 STARS★

Emmett Hill is -putting it nicely- an actor whose glory days are behind him. His second wind came in his current role, in which plays a villain in a popular TV show. In regards to the press, life is sort of imitating art. He’s painted as a philandering bad boy slash playboy, which at his age of thirty eight is not a good look. He is well aware he needs to clean up his act, but the last place he expected to find the answer to his problems was with a one night stand at his best friend’s wedding.

Granted Alyssa Martin fell for Emmett’s charm, but she’s in no way starry eyed over him like the rest of the female population. She’s prickly and a ball buster and much to Emmett’s delight keeps him on his toes. She on the other hand could care less whether Emmett was taken with her or not… or so she tells herself.

Alyssa is as real and upfront as they come, which is highly ironic considering she enters a faux relationship with Emmett. It’s obvious why the deal would work well for him. He is selling the idea of stability and the notion that normal girl like Alyssa has tamed him. In turn she rewarded handsomely, but personally as well as a shot of adrenaline in her stagnant day to day, it gives her time to think about her next step in life.

The prologue was an emotional one and I enjoyed the way Karina drew on that throughout the novel. There is much more to Emmett than the mask of arrogant actor he defaults too, and it’s the knowledge of his past that kept me from allowing myself to think of him that way too. Slowly but surely as Alyssa too comes to see the man behind the mask, it becomes difficult to distinguish between their scripted reality.

Their chemistry was honestly and delight to read, and don’t get me started on the banter. It was hugely refreshing to read a couple whose connection extends to outside the confines of the bedroom. After All is my favourite Karina Halle book to date. From the characters to the story, I loved it all!

It’s time for Drew to shine in a brand-spanking-new THIS MAN Novella coming June 18th! I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had going back to my roots, and I just know you’re gonna LOVE Mr Davies. I hope a little something while you’re waiting for THE FORBIDDEN (Aug 8th) will put a smile on your face as wide as mine ☺

ALLIAM

A new novella featuring Drew from the #1 New York Times bestselling This Man trilogy!

Title: All I Am (This Man #3.5) by Jodi Ellen Malpas
Publication Date: June 18th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

I thought I had control. I was so, so wrong . . .

I don’t need a relationship.

I have Hux, a decadent club where I quench whatever raw desire I choose. I take pleasure and I give it—no strings attached. So when Raya Rivers comes in asking for someone cold, emotionless, and filthy . . . well, no man ever takes his wicked pleasure quite the way I do.

Only Raya is different. Vulnerable. And carrying some deep sorrow that gets past all my carefully constructed walls and inexplicably makes me care. Now craving controls me. Ice has given way to red-hot need.

But Raya has no idea about my other life—my real life. That I’m a daddy to an adorable little girl.

My two worlds are about to collide with the force of a supernova. And once Raya knows the truth, will she be able to accept all I am?

‘What do you want, Raya?’

She steps toward me tentatively, as if she’s questioning what she’s doing. And when she reaches me, her chest pressed to mine, she gazes up at me. ‘I don’t know.’ Her eyes are wild and unsure. ‘But I know that every time we’re close, something powerful takes over. And you’re trying hard to fight it. You’re warm and cold. What are you scared of?’

‘You.’ My mouth is on her before I can think better of it, and I’ve lifted her from her feet before my tongue breaches the seam on her lips. We should talk, but this is the only thing I know what to say right now, and when her arms circle my shoulders, her mouth opening up, inviting me in, I know she’s okay with it. I know she gets it.

With one arm around her waist holding her to me and one secured on the nape of her neck, I walk to my office, my kiss deep, my blood racing, my heart bouncing off my ribcage. I set her on her feet and take the hem of her dress, pulling it up over her head, losing her lips for just a second in the process. She wrenches my shirt open, scattering buttons in the process, her hands immediately finding my skin beneath. My forward steps encourages her backwards, our kiss deepening as she unfastens my trousers and I push her knickers down her thighs.

We’re all over the place, desperation getting the better of us, a mess of tongues, hands and bodies. I pull some strength from nowhere, seize her hands and break our kiss, breathing heavily. Her unsure brown eyes soon prompts me to start ridding myself of the rest of my clothes, all under her watchful gaze. Until I’m naked.

‘This wasn’t supposed to happen,’ she whispers.

When I think of Jodi Ellen Malpas, I automatically think to her This Man series. It’s one that sticks out in my mind for a few of reasons, but namely the one and only Lord of the Manor, Jesse Ward. By default anything with a mere association to the series has my interest, so of course I was only too happy revisit the gang.

Without giving away too much of what we already know about Drew, we understand his justification for the way in which he is guarded. He chooses a lifestyle where his intimacies are purely carnal and take place at a BDSM club. It’s the last place he would look to find a meaningful relationship, but we all know what happens when you least expect something.

Like Drew, Raya is looking for release without attachments. More mysterious in reasons, Drew tells himself it’s not his place or within his interests to discover them. She’s a means to an end until he’s consumed with thoughts of beginning a life with her in it.

A wonderful highlight to this novella was the welcomed addition of Jesse and Sam. In addition to the  conflict and drama they brought some real loud out moments, not too mention “awws” from Drew’s young daughter.

ALL I AM nicely set up the story from Jodi and all eyes are on THE FORBIDDEN which releases in August.

About Jodi:

JEM

Jodi Ellen Malpas wrote her debut series, The This Man Trilogy, in secret, worried about what people might think if they knew what her imagination was capable of. She was shocked herself. But she finally found the courage to unleash her creative streak and self-published THIS MAN – the first book of the This Man Trilogy – in October 2012. She took a chance on the story with a hero who soon became one of modern day fictions most prolific alpha male characters. Jesse Ward – also affectionately known as The Lord of The Manor, sparked incredible reactions from women across the globe and catapulted Jodi into the world of women’s fiction.

Jodi went on to self-publish the second book in the trilogy, Beneath This Man in Jan 2013, just before Grand Central Publishing, part of the Hachette Book Group, picked up the popular trilogy and the unknown Jodi. The third book of the trilogy, This Man Confessed, took Jodi to the top of the bestsellers lists, earning her the proud title of #1 New York Times Bestselling Author. This Man has since been voted one of the top romance novels of all time.

With so much love, enthusiasm and a thirst for her words from her readers, Jodi suddenly wasn’t afraid of her imagination anymore. She went on to write The One Night Trilogy with the delectable and mysterious Miller Hart, and stole the hearts of her readers once again. Her first stand-alone novel, THE PROTECTOR, released in September 2016 and has since been nominated for a Reviewers’ Choice Best Book Award. Jodi’s next stand-alone novel. THE FORBIDDEN, is set for release in August 2017.

All seven of her published novels have hit the New York Times best sellers list – as well as the Sunday Times list and various international best seller lists. Her work is now published in over 24 languages across the world.

Jodi was born and raised in the Midlands town of Northampton, England, where she lives with her two boys and a beagle. She is a self-professed daydreamer, a mojito addict, is famous for her obsession with Converse, and has a terrible weak spot for Alpha Males. Writing powerful love stories and creating addictive characters has become her passion – a passion she now shares with her devoted readers.

Hearts on Air by L.H. Cosway

Series: Hearts, #6

Genre: Contemporary Romance

3 weeks. 5 cities. 15 impossible stunts. One reality show.

Trevor Cross came into Reya Cabrera’s world with a bang and faded out with a whimper. They vowed to make it work, but life had other plans. After chasing his TV dreams for years, Trev finally became the UK’s next big reality star, but he alienated his family and friends in the process. Now he finally has everything he ever wanted. Women. Money. Fame. But none of it means anything when he doesn’t have the one thing that matters most: love.

Money leaves a gaping hole. Fame surrounds him with loneliness. And no woman makes him feel like Reya used to before the whirlwind of success pulled them apart.

He has a plan to get her back. However, with a hectic filming schedule looming, the only way to do that is to convince her to come on the road with him. Reya has been stuck in a rut for a while, and the opportunity to travel across Europe and play her music for new audiences seems like heaven. The only catch? She has to do it with the one boy who ever got close enough to break her heart. But he’s not a boy anymore, and as she gets to know him again she can’t deny her respect for the man he’s become.

Every time she’s around him her heart feels full of air, like a balloon about to pop. Little does she know, Trev’s feelings are just as tumultuous as hers. One thing’s for sure, these three weeks on the road together will either make them whole again or break them irrevocably.

**Hearts on Air is a contemporary romance and book #6 in the Hearts series, however it can also be read as a complete standalone.**

★4 STARS

I’m in slight denial that Hearts on Air marks the conclusion of a series that managed to be diverse with every novel, but still have kept it’s charm and likeability. The evolution of the brothers has been a huge highlight. As colourful as each brother is, I have to admit, it was Trev who has intrigued me the most. He’s boisterous and the epitome of a cheeky chap to the nth degree, but it’s his unlikely friendship with Reya that has always been the overriding selling point.

Trev is a larger than life character and though he has a role on a Parkour a reality TV show, Reya’s star shines just as brightly next to his. She’s independent, has a huge heart, and has always put her friendship with Trev before any other feelings she has for him. When her life stalls and an opportunity to reconnect with Trev arises they cautiously navigate through an uncertainty their relationship has never experienced before

Their story has been a long time coming, and I for one have been waiting patiently to hear it. We’ve previously seen them dance around each other in a relationship that became far more significant than friendship, and I loved the way in which Cosway told their story, but still managed to feed my anticipation as we moved between past and present.

Emotionally they tugged on my heartstrings, and as expected there were plenty of laughs courtesy of Trev. They like the series came full circle, and any sadness I had going in was replaced but how full of heart it was to read.

RR_synopsis

Can you fall in love with someone you’ve never even met?

Hailey Taylor Emery has a hunch that her favorite client at Fetch–an anonymous virtual assistant service–is actually hockey star Matt Eriksson.

Although it’s against the rules for her to check his file, she’s 95% sure she spends at least part of each day texting with her lifelong crush and catering to his every need. Still nursing a wounded heart thanks to her recent breakup, Hailey is perfectly content with some harmless online flirting…until she has to meet her client. Face to face. Cue: utter panic.

Matt Eriksson is no stranger to heartbreak. He’s still not over the destruction of his marriage, and it sucks to be the only guy on the team who knows the truth–that hockey and long-term relationships are a toxic mix. He barely sees his kids, and dealing with his ex makes him feel insane. The only person in his life who seems to understand is someone who won’t show her pretty face.

But it’s nothing that a pair of fourth row hockey seats can’t fix. Hailey can’t resist the offer. Matt can’t resist Hailey. Good thing he doesn’t have to. Fire up the kiss cam!

Warning: Contains rabid hockey fans, misunderstood dick pics, hockey players at the opera and exploding ovaries.

★4.5 STARS★

Much like the song, I ain’t too proud to beg when it came to getting my hands on this Bowenndy treat. Like the masters of all-out, feel good novels, Sarina and Elle once again tickle readers into submission with the latest addition in the WAGS series.

STAY focuses on divorced player Matt Eriksson and my new girl crush, Hailey Taylor Emery. If you’ve read Good Boy, you’ll remember Matt was having a hard time dealing with the breakdown of his marriage. It’s here that Hailey steps in, or rather her business Fetch.

Fetch is the ingenious personal (virtual) assistance service set up by Hailey and her now ex-husband. It’s a saving grace to Matt who is frequently on the road. But with Hailey acting as his right hand woman when he’s in a jam, he soon comes to rely on her in more than the business capacity.

Although Fetch offers 100% anonymity, it’s not long before Hailey sniffs out “sniper87” is indeed one of her hockey heroes crushes, Matt. He’s eager to put a face to the name, but she in an effort to keep her business head keeps her attraction on a tight leash.

I on the other hand boundless in my excitement of these two getting together. Matt is an amazing man and father and I thought Hailey equalled him in her likeability factor. As well as being career minded, she’s down to earth and extremely warm. They are equally cautious going in, but what builds kept me glued to the pages and self-appointing myself head cheerleader to their romance.

The WAGS series is another tail wagging hit for this amazing duo, and I’m positively panting for O’Connor’s book.
